Ex Ante Assessment
A STUDY IN SUPPORT OF THE EX-ANTE ASSESSMENT FOR THE POTENTIAL FUTURE USE OF FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS IN THE CONTEXT OF THE EUROPEAN STRUCTURAL AND INVESTMENT FUNDS (ESIF)
Following the signing of the relevant Contract Agreement between the Directorate General for European Programmes, Coordination and Development (DG EPCD) and the European Investment Bank (EIB) on 30 November 2016, the study in support of the ex-ante assessment for the potential future use of Financial Instruments (FI) in the context of the European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF) has been completed and submitted to the MA on the 28th of July 2017.
The aim of the ex-ante assessment was to provide DG EPCD with evidence-based analysis and guidance to support the use of FIs within the Operational Programme (OP) “Competitiveness and Sustainable Development” over the 2014-2020 programming period. The methodology used in the analysis followed the guidelines published by the European Commission, as defined in article 37 (2) of the Common Provision Regulation (CPR).
